So what is the connection between the vice presidents of franchise operations at the manufacturers and some of these dealers as well as with the planners of the Nightmare America Planners Politicians and Yentl’s party. just more evidence that the Jobs For Friends system is slowly usurping the capitalist ideal.

Just heard that there are state franchise laws that come into play by the independent auto retailers network(?) – Jerry Doyle show. So these dealers are getting together for a lawsuit it looks like.

If a class action lawsuit, it would have to be against the government because the auto makers don’t have nothing to give if they win. But to just sever relationships like that. That just means that they will have to hold a gun to the head of vendors and dealers also to keep them from jumping ship. So congress has the paddles to try to keep the intensive care patient alive, while the surgeons are cutting out ganggreen along with the good tissue. But at the same time a administrator put a tourniquet around the neck of the patient telling him he can’t go to another hospital.

It saddens me that this man and his family probably put their heart and soul not to mention time into this dealership only to have someone else not them or the free market decide their fate.

I hope he is part of a class action lawsuit.

I am intrigued by the lack of mention of the other dealer. Also, I’d like to see what his sales performance has been. On the surface it looks like piracy but there are too many questions at the moment for me to just jump on board. Does his blanket plea for help mean the lawyers dont see a win? I manage a small Florida panhandle shop and have to access dealer parts all the time. Also, something not mentioned is how this compromises the public safety. I am sure many of you out there have received recall notices, especially if you bought a new vehicle. These recalls are for actual and potential safety defects and usually mandated by the Natl. Hwy. Traffic Safety Administration. Have the noodles at Chrysler et al decided to roll the dice on their culpability if these shenanigans cause an unsafe vehicle to take out your family?!?!

GOOD POINT FROG. I have worked at dealerships for 33 years and this is absolutely the worst I have seen this industry. The dealer I work for now was established in 1915 and is still run by the same family. He is shooting for 100 years and then wants to retire. He has had to lay off almost all of the hourly people such as clean up, technician helpers, valets and such which puts a burden on the rest of us to take up the slack. Fortunately I hope, it is a Ford dealer and one with a strong fixed ops dept. Just 3 weeks ago Obama was telling the world he doesn’t want to own automobile manufacturers but after the news today on his new plan it doesn’t seem that way to me. He wants to dictate pay, give the unions a stronger voice, and tell them what kind of cars they can build. It sickens me to think the unions are going to own majority stakes of these companies. They are so corrupt already it is scary thinking about what is coming.

This is above all very sad. Iacocca went to great lengths to turn this company around just so the next round of incompetents could screw it up again. The hand writing is on the wall with all this crap. GM and Chrysler are going to end up being owned by the government and the unions, neither one of whom I would trust for as far as I can throw them. If I buy American again, it will be a Ford or a foreign made made in the good old US of A.

The UAW is the most self-centered, corrupt organization in any industry in our country. I’m beginning to think that politicians think the American public is completely stupid. The UAW represents “voters” to the Democratic Party. Hopefully, when the smoke clears on all this bullshit going on, they will be the only voters voting for these bozo’s in 2010.

    And this isn’t criminal?
