This is exactly what is happening has been going on for years. It’s a form of blackmail. If “we” give you the money to do this, then you must do this. Anything the federal government offers to any state has strings attached to it. It matters, not in the least, that the people at the other end of the funds have a better understanding for the best use of the needed funds than the knowing careerists. They know best.
Refuse the funds? Our Governor, Mark Sanford, just found out that how that works. It’s disgusting to watch and yet the sheeple continue to graze. As a patriot of many years, it continues to bother me that our country is so easily led down the path we are on. Have the people become so docile that they believe the Federal Government, with it’s feeding frenzy bureaucracy, can solve anything?
We have someone now who is a conman as the President of this country. He conned his way into making people believe he has the answers. He didn’t then and he doesn’t now.
