This one is really ticking me off. I’ve had a house on the market for a year now, and still can’t sell it. The damn thing is bankrupting me. Greedy damn politicians. Gore stands to make millions off this whole thing along with GE. They should be tar, feathered, and ran out of town for what they have done, and are doing.

As I watched C-Span and the opposition to the legislation I was amazed by what I heard. At 3:09 AM a 300 plus page amendment was dropped off to Congressional offices on the day of the vote. That was on top of the 1200 plus pages they conjured up in the first place. The damned amendment was full of adding layers of bureaucracy and governmental crap to the original bill. The usual modus operandi in passing significant legislation. It was done big time on the Stimupork Bill nad I don’t see it ceasing unless we do something about it. They passed legislation again without ever eading the entire bill.

I have to agree with the “All Of The Above Approach” to changing our dependence on foreign oil. The Federal Government isn’t going to change that by smoke and mirrors. Nowhere in that Democratic bill was nuclear energy mentioned once. Nowhere was off shore drilling mentioned once. Off shore drilling isn’t the panacea but it is a key piece of the puzzle. Let American innovation and technical expertise take the helm in this thing. Government regulation and mandates aren’t the solution. We, the people are though.

The scientific “experts” who reached a consensus on carbon have been relegated to the minority of the scientific community. That was mentioned more than a few times as I listened to the debate. Another case of “Father Knows Best” I’m sure. Al Gore and his minions are in the minority opinion but they are the flavor of the day.
