I read an article today about the deposed leader and his flip-flop after campaigning one way to get the people to vote for him, winning and then reversing course after he took office. It reminded me of our President. Tell them what they want to hear but just keep your hidden agenda to yourself seems to be what our political process has evovlved into. Evidently, other potential leaders have taken notes or Obama took notes from them.

Yesterday was our nation’s birthday and I didn’t spend it drinking beer and scarfing down burgers. I went on a Veteran’s Bike Parage to the VFW, ate some good BBQ and then took off for another event. Closed the evening with the Tea Party and a grilled steak dinner afterward. A different Independence Day from past ones.

The people of Honduras were heard. It took deposing their President to be heard. When people say “NO,” politicians should listen. Ours do not, nor have they for quite some time. Obama said prior to being inaugurated that the American people’s “patience” was wearing thin. It’s now beyond thin. We say “NO” and they do it anyway. That tells me that special interests in this country have more pull than the electorate. We’ll see…
