The Last of The Kennedy Dynasty. The senior elected official from Massachusetts, the leader of the circus clowns.

As soon as cancer was found, there came immediate attempts at canonization of old Teddy by the main stream media. They are saying what a “great American” he is.

Let’s get a few things clear and not twist the facts to change the real history.

1. He was caught cheating at Harvard when he attended it. He was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him.

2. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two. Oops, His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England (a step up from bootlegging liquor into the U.S. from Canada during prohibition), pulled the necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea, where a war was raging.

No preferential treatment for him like “he” charged President Bush received.

3. Kennedy was assigned to Paris , never advanced beyond the rank of Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged. Imagine a person of his “education” NEVER advancing past the rank of Private.

4. While attending law school at the University of Virginia , he was cited for reckless driving four times, including once when he was clocked driving 90 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood with his headlights off after dark. Yet his Virginia driver’s license was never revoked. Coincidentally, he passed the bar exam in 1959, amazing!!!

5. In 1964, he was seriously injured in a plane crash, and hospitalized for several months. Test results done by the hospital at the time he was admitted had shown he was legally intoxicated. The results of those tests remained a “state secret” until in the 1980’s when the report was unsealed. Didn’t hear about that from the unbiased media, did we?

6. On July 19, 1969, Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts . At about 11:00 PM, he borrowed his chauffeur’s keys to his Oldsmobile limousine, and offered to give a ride home to Mary Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker. Leaving the island via an unlighted bridge with no guard rail, Kennedy steered the car off the bridge, flipped, and into Poucha Pond.

7. He swam to shore and walked back to the party, after passing several houses and a fire station. Then two friends returned with him to the scene of the accident. According to their later testimony, they told him what he already knew, that he was required by law to immediately report the accident to the authorities. Instead Kennedy made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer, and went to sleep. Kennedy called the police the next morning and by then the wreck had already been discovered. Before dying, Kopechne had scratched at the upholstered floor above her head in the upside-down car.
The Kennedy family began “calling in favors”, ensuring that any inquiry would be contained. Her corpse was whisked out-of-state to her family, before an autopsy could be conducted. Further details are uncertain, but after the accident Kennedy says he repeatedly dove under the water trying to rescue Kopechne, and he didn’t call police because he was in a state of shock.

It is widely assumed Kennedy was drunk, and he held off calling police in hopes that his family could fix the problem overnight. Since the accident, Kennedy’s “political enemies” have referred to him as the distinguished Senator from Chappaquiddick He pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, and was given a SUSPENDED SENTENCE OF TWO MONTHS. Kopechne’s family received a $200,000 payout from the Kennedy insurance policy, and never sued. There was later an effort to have her body exhumed and autopsied, but her family successfully fought against this in court, and Kennedy’s family paid their attorney’s bills… a “to kin of friendship”?

8. Kennedy has held his Senate seat for more than forty years, but considering his longevity, his accomplishments seem scant. He authored or argued for legislation that ensured a variety of civil rights, increased the minimum wage in 1981, made access to health care easier for the indigent, and funded Meals on Wheels for fixed-income seniors and is widely held as the “standard-bearer for liberalism.” In his very first Senate role, he was the floor manager for the bill that turned U.S. immigration policy upside down and opened the floodgate for immigrants from third world countries.

9. Since that time, he has been the prime instigator and author of every expansion of and increase in immigration, up to and including the latest attempt to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Not to mention the pious grilling he gave the last two Supreme Court Nominees, as if he were the standard bearer for the nation in matters of morals and what is right. What a pompous ass.

10. He is known around Washington as a public drunk, loud, boisterous and very disrespectful to ladies. JERK is a better description than “great American.”

Let’s not allow the spin doctors make this jerk a hero — how quickly the American public forgets what his real legacy is…

Obama has now awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom to a known murderer. Teddy boy surely fits the profile of people Obama would consider to be a hero in this country. What should have been put around the coward’s neck is a noose.

“A wise man asks questions, a fool is afraid of knowledge.”

Occasionally, I have to put my frog thinga-mijig on to decifer what I see and sense. Most of us go through life trying just to keep up, not necessarily with the Jones either. We pay our bills on time, pay our mortgage and attempt to make ends meet. Until very recently, I didn’t pay too much attention to the government. Why? Because I don’t like Big Government. It wasn’t politically motivated. I just have never been to fond of our government wasting my, and your, tax dollars like they are fond of doing.

The past eight years were different. Different in every respect of the word. Our nation was attacked and that hasn’t happened since Pearl Harbor. It caught my attention just as it caught the majority of our population’s attention. How could this happen? Were we asleep at the wheel? In a sense we were. This is my story so I’ll tell it like I see fit.

I retired form the U.S. Army in 1992. I entered the Army in 1968, so you do the math. Over the ensuing years, I saw more than my share of strife and the politics behind the strife. There is a distinct difference between reading some sketchy history and having lived through an era or two. It’s amazing to see some young person want to spout about the Viet Nam War. What about it? It was one of the most politically driven wars in this nation’s history. We lost in excess of 50K lives for the self-gratification of the political machines that drove it. So tell me about it please. I lost more than a few friends. I wasn’t to enthralled with the whole idea but I did what I had to do. when your country asks, you produce. We’ve lost that sense somehow.

I witnessed LBJ and his creation of “The Great Society.” He put FDR to shame in instilling in the American people, at least some of them. a sense of entitlement. It has bred generations now who have that entitlement mentality. I have never bought into the premise that there is a substitute for hard work to better yourself. Yes, I was a career military man but that isn’t an entitlement program. Best believe that. The Viet Nam War was in full swing and people were in the streets and journalists were on the front lines, where they didn’t belong, bringing the carnage into the living rooms of the public.

Next came? You got it. Richard M. Nixon. Quite a character and very much a paranoid his whole political career. Here was a very intelligent man who saw an enemy behind every tree. The far right wing version of what we see today. Maybe people should take a step back and look at it from a different perspective. When you become so obsessed with the concept of “everyone’s out to get me” then they probably have clear sailing at it. Not because of anything they attempt to do, but because you lose sight of reality.

Some readers don’t remember Tricky Dick. Looking back, he was everything that was “wrong” with politicians and it has grown since he had to resign. Here was a President that wasn’t remotely in danger of losing an election, totally paranoid, and authorizing some way out there burglary attempt of the DNC Headquarters in the Watergate complex. Nixon was the epitome of a control freak. We’re starting to see a deja vu?

Spiro Agnew resigned in disgrace and Nixon appointed Gerald Ford as his VP. If you get bored with this, go find another subject to read. Nixon ends up resigning and that was basically a non-partisan issue when it went down. He got caught and even through all his denials, he had been caught. What I applauded at the time was the fact that this country knew right from wrong and acted accordingly. That’s the first time I can remember watching hearings in my life. The likes of Haldeman, Dean, Erlichman, G. Gordon Liddy, etc. stonewalling Congress. Hadn’t ever seen it before but I’m beginning to see it resurface now.

End game and Ford took over. Imagine what it would have been like to have to pick up that political football. The country had become so engrossed in King Richards plight that nothing else seemed to take top burner. Economy? So what, pay attention to this circus and not the everyday affairs of our nation. National defense? Hardly, that was given up for dead. We were leaving with the causality count to remember forever. So bumbling Jerry, though very likable, took the reins and inflation was at a roar. Remember the WIN Program? Whip Inflation Now!

This nation had let itself become so preoccupied with things that needed a minor spotlight that it lost sight of the bigger picture. Things like that happen. They’re happening today. It’s easy to become frustrated and grasp at a straw or two and that’s exactly what we did. We elected James Earl Carter to become our President.

Carter, bless his heart, does have a very good heart. He, in my opinion, is a true humanitarian. That’s a good quality to have except when you are the President of the United States. The job seems to require a heartlessness. If you care what other people think about you then don’t aspire to the office. Popularity, and being a nice guy, will wear thin quickly. Carter, like our current President, was really totally unqualified to be this country’s leader. He did have more executive experience and was sincere. Good intentions, poor execution. Try as he might, the more he tried to get it right, the worse it became.

Inflation and double digit interest rates are things I remember. The oil crisis and the handling, or mishandling of Iran and the Shah, remain vivid. The seizing of American hostages and the total lack of guts to deal with it then have led us to where we are today regarding the Islamic Fundamentalists we face now. That’s just my opinion if you’d care to disagree. The “BUG” was right there to be squashed and we failed to use the proper insecticide. We wanted to be seen as righteous in the eyes of the world. That was a first for me. The first time where I remember any President who was willing to be totally humiliated in the eyes of the world.

Out from the west rode a fearless warrior – Ronald R. Reagan. One of the many Cold Warriors of the time. Remember the Cold War? It goes way back. Duck and cover drills? My son thinks I made that up. It was escalating with the sabres rattling over decades and was ignored as irrelevant. We had been trying to make nice-nice with the Soviets for years. It got us nowhere but more deeply in debt and them more entrenched in their vision of the US becoming irrelevant.

I didn’t always agree with Ronald Reagan but I had the utmost respect for the President of the United States. He didn’t care if you liked him or not. He didn’t care if you agreed with him or not. He was the leader of the free world and he was determined to allow freedom to ring as loudly as possible, wherever he could get it to ring. Besides, he had to clean up the mess Carter had intensified in just 4 short, miserable years.

I enjoyed those years as a member of the armed forces. He gave new respect to this country and the people who served it. He was willing to spend the money necessary to build a force structure that was worthy of being called the Commander-In-Chief of. It’s right there in the US Constitution. That’s the primary responsibility of the chief executive of this nation. He broke the Cold War into little tiny pieces. When he talked to the American public, it was like he was speaking to your personally. When I hear people speak badly of him, I can only think that you were too young, or not born yet, to remember. He had his flaws but above all else – He was the eptiome of what an American should be.

Bush Senior was standing in the door. Though not the best, the best of the pick. He had one hell of a set of shoes to try to fill. Bush was a foreign policy wog, had been his entire political career. Rather than continue to build on the economic incentives that Reagan had put into place, he turned his focus to international affairs. It’s a matter of putting your expertise toward bailing like hell while the boat is sinking. The Madman of Iraq was loose and he had to deal with that situation. The American people were great guns and rallied around the flagpole as we should have. But, whether at war or peace, the economy needs some attention. He had one of the highest approval ratings of all time while we were kicking that Iraqi ass. but in the end it became, “It’s the economy stupid.”

Right around here is where I had a problem. Thjis is when I became an Independent but that hasn’t been a problem at all. Politics has always made strange bedfellows and Bill Clinton was no exception. The cult of personality is the only thing I can call it. He is glib. Remind you of anyone we presently have? He is a salesman par excellence. If a dog didn’t have fleas, he would when Slick got through with him. He was phenomenal at lying to the American public during that campaign. His blushing bride was there by his side even after all the affairs were disclosed. He was like a choirboy when interviewed. Just a set of unfortunate circumstances was all it was. Much ado about nothing.

Military obligations? Colonel Parker arranged for him to be on the ROTC rolls and skip all meetings, summer camps or classes without any regard. I call him today what he was – a draft dodger. The world was full of the privileged class back then who had connections to keep their butts from serving this country. Then he lied about that too. But the american public was, “That’s alright Billy, we understand. It was an unpopular war.” Well now, aren’t they all?

Clinton did some good things but his overall moral character remained flawed. His marriage was a farce and strictly political. The American people ignored that fact. Hillary was as abrasive then as she is now. She’s smart though, don’t think she isn’t. She knew the stones that needed to be tolerated and stepped on to achieve recognition. She still does. She dodged that sniper fire when she had to and was a true American hero and icon. A legend in her own mind I am certain as is her hubby.

The latter years of the Clinton Administration were a fiasco. Who will ever forget Monica Lewinsky? She blew her way to fame. Then Clinton showed his true nature. That of a man who thought nothing of looking into the camera and lying to the American people. He turned an impeachment proceeding into a three ring circus. And the American people seemed to sit idly by. Sad but true. I now wonder exactly what shenanigans occurred in the Oval Office during that eight years while Hillary had her separate bedroom and Billy Bob Joe Ray had his, not that it matters. Politics does make strange bedfellows.

Next up was Al (I invented the internet) Gore versus GWB. Gore was seen as too tightly aligned to Clinton. He never did much as the Vice President that was noted other than following along with Billy Bob. Gore is a dreamer about the way things can be, not the reality of the way things really are. Once again, I saw it as the lesser of two evils. That’s sad that politics hads evolved into those choices. Where are our country’s leaders hiding?

Bush wasn’t really the leader I expected him to be. He’s more laid back than I expected. He got slammed shortly after taking office with the events of 9/11. His reaction was what I would expect the President’s to be. The American public rallied behind him and it was “damned the torpedoes, full speed ahead.” What transpired though should not have occurred quite like it did. I’m of the belief that Saddam Hussein had to go. That was imperative in beginning the overall battle. What wasn’t expected was the aftermath of freeing the Iraqi people from their dictator.

The Middle East is still the Middle East and we won’t change that. They don’t think like we do, nor should they. We definitely aren’t going to make them follow our thought process. They are acustomed to being treated like cattle. We are not, though sometimes I have to give that some serious thought these days. I won’t go into Middle Eastern do’s and don’ts here as it wouldn’t serve any useful purpose.

GWB was the consummate Republican who let himself get corralled by the extreme right wing of his party. Extreme is extreme no matter on the left or the right. Being somewhat right of center I have to say that. What is unfortunate was during the latter years of his Presidency, I feel he lost focus on a number of issues. One thing I will never fault the man for though is his never ending pursuit of terrorists and ensuring the safety of the American public and our soil. Bash away but give him the credit he is due in that arena.

So here we are today with another shoe salesman at the helm. I am prone to liken him to Jimmie Carter. He had good intentions but that isn’t sufficient. You can’t tax the hell out the American people and think it’s okay. You can’t spend money lavishly that you don’t have. Where will that end up? Where GM and Chrysler are is where. Good God man, this is the federal government we’re discussing here, not a corporation or business. Lack of executive experience, or just plain Mom and Pop operations, is apparent in our Chief Executive. He’s relying on the real pros now – Congress! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Wow, that took a lot of effort, curious as to my quantity I added up my information sources That I have book marked. Liberal, Conservative, Newspapers, News magazines, websites, Institutes for research, Government, radio. It looks like currently I’m at about 133. Yup, thats right one hundred and thirty three different streams of information all flowing towards me, your ocean of news. What is fun is I seem to discover at least one new one a day since I have been looking. How does one cover so many places and keep abridged of what is going on? Well they have me on their email list, some I follow on twitter. Others I have permanently locked into my igoogle site. If I rss them all I could have them most of them at my fingertips faster, but then I wouldn’t be exposed to the incredibleness of their designs. a place like ‘the peoples cube’ which is communist/(stalin) version of the Onion. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is a parity of conservative views to make liberals snicker. So the peoples cube is the opposite of that. Got it? Some of the cube I have to wonder about, especially when they pick on Rush. But I will post one of my favorites following this post. I was thinking of posting my sources but where is the fun in that? Unless of course you my readers, become demanding to the point of being of a nagging variety that would be similar in strength to a crowd chanting then I might consider. However, until then I will peruse the news for youz. – All for one and One for All – Quiet Dogood.

Hello to all my friends and readers. I wanted to give a special thanks to SoCalGal for letting me know about a new place for me to publish and export my unerring opinions about those important, mind boggling, life impacting events that have had, having and will have effect on everyone in this country. I will continue as I have elsewhere (they deserve to remain nameless and undiscovered) to bring you strategic insight into those forces that would seek to change the course of our great nation from staying true to the design of our Founding Fathers. I promise to continue educating you with discoveries that you will enjoy exploring and digging into. Everything I publish is important in sharpening your foresight. To giving you a better feel for things that are being tried, that are in other forms of government lest we be lulled into being as stupid too. I hope to arouse awake that early American independent spirit, which is given to you as a gift when you are born or come to this country. Your opinions are coveted. For only through exchange do we sharpen (ironxiron). Don’t be a stranger I look forward to meeting you all.

This questioned has been asked to me more than a few times. You be the judge of the “authoritative source.”

“For the past few years www.snopes.com has positioned itself, or others have labeled it as the ‘tell-all, final word’ on any comment, claim and e-mail. But for several years people tried to find out who exactly was behind snopes.com.

Only recently did Wikipedia get to the bottom of it -kinda makes you wonder what they were hiding. Well, finally we know. It is run by a husband and wife team – that’s right, no big office of investigators and researchers, no team of lawyers. It’s just a mom-and-pop operation that began as a hobby. David and Barbara Mikkelson in the San Fernando Valley of California started the website about 13 years ago – and they have no formal background or experience in investigative research. After a few years it gained popularity believing it to be unbiased and neutral, but over the past couple of years people started asking questions who was behind it and did they have a selfish motivation? The reason for the questions – or skepticism’s is a result of snopes.com claiming to have the bottom line facts to certain questions or issues, when in fact, they have been proven wrong. Also, there were criticisms the Mikkelsons were not really investigating and getting to the ‘true’ bottom of various issues.
When I saw that Snopes had falsely claimed that Obama’s Birth Certificate had been properly validated, I realized something was wrong with either their research and/or their credibility. It seems something is seriously wrong with both.
Then a few months ago, when my State Farm agent, Bud Gregg, in Mandeville hoisted a political sign referencing Barack Obama and made a big splash across the Internet, supposedly the Mikkelson’s claim to have researched this issue before posting their findings on snopes.com. In their statement they claimed the corporate office of State Farm pressured Gregg into taking down the sign, when in fact nothing of the sort ever took place. I personally contacted David Mikkelson (and he replied back to me) thinking he would want to get to the bottom of this, and I gave him Bud Gregg’s contact phone numbers. Bud was going to give him phone numbers to the big exec’s at State Farm in Illinois who would have been willing to speak with him about it. He never called Bud. In fact, I learned from Bud Gregg no one from snopes.com ever contacted anyone with State Farm. Yet snopes.com issued a statement as the ‘final factual word’ on the issue as if they did all their homework and got to the bottom of things.

Not!

So, I say this now to everyone who goes to www.snopes.com to get what they think to be the bottom line facts: Proceed with caution. Take what it says at face value and nothing more. Use it only to lead you to their references where you can link to and read the sources for yourself. Plus, you can always Google a subject and do the research yourself. It now seems apparent that’s all the Mikkelson’s do. After all, I can personally vouch from my own experience for their ‘not’ fully looking into things.”

Check it out and in the future when someone wants to “snopes.com” you, send them a link:

A social networking environment is usually too wide open to abuse. Then a news service opens a link for easy migration?

Here’s one of the problems that is again surfacing with Facebook. The first time they hit me with the bogus suspension for plagiarism, the worm hit Facebook right after Newsvine linked the two forums together. I sent Newsvine a link to that CNN report and they never uttered one word to the users of the forum. Tyler now claims they didn’t have a “responsibility” to inform the users. I have that in an e-mail from Tyler to another group member.

Many have experienced computer problems in one form or another since that time. I’m not sure if you are a member of Facebook or not, I am not. However, I am being told that I am there. How did that happen? Can anyone who is a member confirm that for me? I recently received a “friends request” from someone on that forum that hit my primary e-mail address and got spammed. What is my primary e-mail address doing on Facebook?

Now I see this and wonder if Newsvine will announce the problem, sever the linking or not, and do what is necessary to protect the users of that forum? Something was exchanged between the two forums to establish that linkage. I’m sure of that because both are businesses.

If you are a member of Facebook, or know anyone who is, you might want to alert them about this problem IMHO.

Well the day is nearly over, the traffic stats are still down and Google fails to show any traffic love to the blog still, but and I say it with a big BUT Google has shown some love in a few other ways – which doesn’t really make sense for a few reasons – Google has given the Blog a PR6 – yes a Page Rank of 6 – I have no idea why and how that worked, but I am sure it will be short lived.

Google has now listed the blog in Google Blogs and updates the blog posts in the blog directory within minutes and in turn the posts are now being indexed in the search engine within 30 minutes …. so that’s all good – but where’s the traffic ? Something is wrong there, I think Google is doing a PR and Index dance and I mean Globally.

The traffic stats were the worst in two days …. the number of pages indexed is still varying between 130 and 210 (at it’s peak) which may suggest Google’s little jiggy jig (dance).

Now with Google indexing the posts so fast it’s time to capitalize and focus on this blog – instead of multiple online ventures … like domaining and flipping websites and establishing a web host – and maintaining several of these blogs.

No plugins to report or site updates.

OK so it’s a wrap for day four, I think it was day four, I have added several posts and worked more off site than on the site, the days stats started with a boom …. but suddenly dies in the ass – no real reason why …. it’s just a new site technically so 200 visitors a day is still pretty good.

The traffic from Google died in the ass, most of the traffic was from social sites, so taking that into account I decided to work off site and gather some links from external sites – mainly wordpress.com – I have a older hosted blog that I tend to use …. hopefully by being active there and adding a link to each post to one of my posts will give me some more juice and a few visitors – the impact from that wont be showing for a few more days though.

The main gain today was the blog got listed in Google Blog search results and as this site gathers momentum and age – the posts will be indexed in the blog search and in the search engine a little quicker.

I added a few more plugins today :

Google XML Sitemaps
MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer
WP to Twitter

~ Google XML Sitemaps will generate sitemaps on the fly and notify search engines of new posts.
~ Ping Optimizer will limit the amount of pings to the related sites – so ping spam will be monitored.
~ WP to Twitter will automate each post to my Twitter account – hopefully gaining a little traffic also.

I have also submitted my site to www.feedburner.com and set up the ping service there and interestingly enough – as soon as I did this I found my blogs in Google’s Blog search results. I also submitted my sitemap to Google Webmaster tools.

The number of pages indexed didn’t really increase …. and fluctuates between 120 and 150 as expected though as old pages fall from Google.

That’s about it for today.
